Love for the Both of Us

For the first time in Eurovision history, Portugal carries home the ESC champion’s title, thanks to Salvador Sobral’s magical, moving and heart-felt rendition of Amar Pelos Dois(which loosely translates to Love for the Both of Us), written by Salvador’s sister Luisa Sobral.

Salvador’s victory speech was equally touching – “I want to say that we live in a world of disposable music, fast food music, without any content and I think that this could be a victory for music and for people who make music that actually means something. Music is not fireworks. Music is feeling. So let’s try to change this and bring the music back,” he said.

Ditto, dear Salvador!

This year’s was yet another wonderful edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, and all of us here at the Eurovision Fan House were honored to share it with all of you lovely fans.

So here’s one more to Salvador Sobral - força Portugal!
